Yes. We reserve time for urgent cases — toothaches, broken teeth, lost crowns — and can usually see you the same day. Call or text (727) 441-3523 and we'll work you in. See our emergency dentistry page for first-aid steps while you're on your way.
Yes. Dr. Cannady plans and places dental implants in our Clearwater office using 3D imaging — including All-on-4 full-arch restorations — so there's no referral to a separate surgical center. Consultations include a written, itemized treatment plan.
We file claims for all PPO dental insurance plans and help you maximize your benefits. We do not participate in Medicaid or any HMO/DMO plan (including DentaQuest, Sunshine Health, and Medicare Advantage dental HMO plans) — see insurance & financing for details. We also offer flexible financing for larger treatments. Bring your insurance card to your first visit and we'll verify your benefits. You don't need insurance to be seen — our $99 new patient special and membership plan keep care affordable without it.
Yes — the Healthy Patient Membership Plan is $420/year and includes 2 cleanings and 2 exams per year, annual X-rays, 1 emergency exam per year, and 10% off any treatment. It's not dental insurance, so there are no waiting periods, deductibles, annual maximums, or claims. Call or text (727) 441-3523 or ask at any visit to join.
Absolutely — Cannady Dental is a family practice. Dr. Cannady sees kids from their first visit (recommended by age 1) through the teen years, and families often book back-to-back appointments so everyone is seen in one trip.

Cosmetic treatment is customized, so pricing depends on your goals — every cosmetic consultation includes transparent written pricing before any work begins. Professional in-office whitening and porcelain veneer options are both available.
We have free on-site parking at 1651 Rainbow Dr, just off Sunset Point Rd near Douglas Ave in north Clearwater.
Monday–Wednesday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; Thursday Dr. Cannady sees patients 8:00 AM–2:00 PM (phones answered until 5:00); Friday by appointment (phones until 2:00). Weekends we're closed — leave a message and we'll call you back for the first available appointment.
There isn’t a formal “two-year rule” set by any dental board. The phrase usually refers to two common ideas: many dentists suggest routine cleanings and exams about every six months, and some restorative work such as crowns or bridges is often rechecked after roughly two years to see if it’s still stable. Your personal schedule may differ based on oral health, insurance requirements or a dentist’s recommendation. If you’d like a clear baseline, try our $99 new-patient special or join the $420/year Healthy Patient Membership Plan.
The area often cited as the most affluent in Clearwater is the Moccasin Lake/Northbakery area, with high-valued homes and median incomes above the city average. Some also point to the nearby town of Belleair, which is technically separate but has the highest property values in the region. For precise data, a local real-estate professional can help you compare. If you’re looking for a dentist in any of these neighborhoods, feel free to contact us or learn about our new-patient special.
